I hope you like this.  It's my take on the bluesy gospel train ride song with a secular twist at the end.

I used the BR800 to record it.  Guitar is Fender Strat.  Keys are all MicroKorg.  I tested the appegiator - some will like it, some will hate it.  Vocals are me via Audio Technics condenser mic.  I used the BR800 effects for the female vocals.

BTW - Myki is the electronic pass card that you have to use on public transport in Melbourne.  Zone one is the inner city.  Zone two is the outer suburbs.  If you travel between them, you will need a valid Myki for zones one and two.

No Free Rides

You buys your ticket and you takes your ride
You can't expect others to take your side
When the man comes along to see your bill
Don't ask for help 'cause no-one will
So, if you want to get on and sit with me
You have to realize that the ride ain't free

You buys your ticket and you gets on board
It's no use praying to the Holy Lord
St. Christopher smiles on the righteous man
But you had to have a ticket when the ride began
You can take your seat if you pay your way
Otherwise friend, you must stay away

You buys your ticket and chooses your path
But there's no telling how long the ride will last
There might be still room for a sinner like you
But have to have a Myki for zones one and two
There might be still room for a sinner like you
But you need a valid Myki for zones one and two

Great tune with really good vocals. The arpeggio keyboard was a bold choice, but it works.

I can see this playing over a really weird blood and guts slasher movie....like Saw or something, blood, guts screaming, aaaaahhhhhhh......and this song drowning it all out.....camera blurs out the horror in the background.

Ummmm, did I just type that with my outside voice?

Good tune, I dig it!

Oh this is just fabulous, I'm listening on my wireless headphones and didn't recognise it as you (had to come and see who it was) I thought the fake woman was great too - give me a shout if you ever want some harmonies from a real woman ;*
