To be honest, I had planned this one for last month's Open Tuning Fest, but I didn't arrive in time...

...anyway...

this is a TRADITIONAL Irish jig, here's my contribution to the Trad. Fest!  ;D

Guitar tuning: EADEAE

Jig on!!!  :D

Dear friends,

you all are too much kind, thank you for listening and your nice comments!  :)

A couple of answers:

Hook, if you had problems with this jig with different tunings (standard tuning included), try EADEAE, and you'll see that everything becomes more simple...

Tommy, the guitar...really a long story! My aunt bought me in the far 1980 a 12 string Tamaki acoustic guitar, as a gift for my degree. It was a copy of the glorious Gibson J-200, but with 12 string. For me it's still today impossible to know anything about this brand of guitars, Google doesn't help much.

Anyway, even if it was a cheap guitar, I found its neck wonderful and very comfortable, probably because it was a little wider than normal due to the 12 strings.

So, after some years, it became a 6 string guitar (I pulled off the treble strings), and I put a B-Band PU on it. I was NEVER really satisfied with this PU, but...some weeks ago I fell in love with the sound of danieldesete's guitar (thanks, Daniel!!!), equipped with a Fishman PU, here:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=18893.0

that message created a huge GAS for that PU. I ordered it on Amazon.uk and played Lisdoonvarna with this PU. To be more precise, I recorded the guitar dry on the BR600, and after that I used the Waves CLA Unplugged Stereo as a plugin, while mixing in Adobe Audition. And this is the result.  :)

Grazie e ciao a tutti!  :D
