Hey, me again.

Here's another lick based tune.  I need to redo this one as it has been updated with a bridge and a few different lyrics, and I would like to not "over-sing" it, and add some overdrive to the guitar.  Again the drums are the Br8, Bass, Guitar, vocals and shaker are me.  I think I picked a clean patch in the BR-8 and tweaked it a bit, probably a Fender based amp and a Strat or Tele.  Probably an SM58 for vocals and shaker.

Another great tune picker. This sounds really good, but I would love to hear the revisited version. Some overdrive on the guitar would certainly put an edge to the song.

nice SRV vibes , man you can play ! What a bass line ! On my poor computer the vox sounds a little far away, but that's maybe a musical choice ?
I wouldn't have the patience to start it all over again...

Oh my, I think it sounds just great

I don't think you oversang it - I think you could have gone a lot further with it if you'd wanted to.

Just when you think it can't get any better, the solo bass comes in at the end.

This is great.  You have the SRV vibe in your vocals.  Don't know if it will work, but I suggest the first verse be devoid of guitar.  Might add some impact by the time the second one rolls around.

Thanks again all!  I still think I tried too hard to energize it with vocals when it probably just needed some more drive in the guitar.  That being said, it has changed a little with live play and it seems to get peoples heads bobbing, so that pleases me. 

I like Blooby's idea of eliminating the guitar in the first verse to give it more dynamics.....or maybe start it clean then as it dirty's up later it might get that dynamic vibe.  Well, one of these days I will get to work on it again and will post a revised version.  In the mean time, I am trying to work on some new stuff, so hope to post one today warts and all.
