Release the bats!!! Well worth posting, love to hear out there stuff like this. In my view, cover versions should be just that - very different interpretations of the original (just like Cale's Heartbreak Hotel, which I love).

I think this is great, but this kind of stuff appeals to my warped tastes. It's actually worthy of development IMO. Couple of thoughts - restrain your mental guitar a little bit. It clashes a bit with the vocals, I'd be tempted to drop it out a bit and  bring it in more in the vocal pauses. I'd also be tempted to emphasize the descending seqeunce a bit more in places to give a bit more dynamics. And go wild with your vox - you sing all nicely at the end, do a Nick Cave and let out all that stuff that I know you've got got bottled up. Scream it man, don't sing it!!

This place is amazing. Such diversity and range of styles. I hope there's a place for everything and people are prepared to listen with an open mind.

Cheers,

Nigel

it was brought to my attention that the mp3 was no longer here and it was thought that i had perhaps removed it.

the tune was originally posted off site at skydrive and when pedro made changes to the site way back, the link was lost.

so i have posted it back at start of the thread.

let this be a warning of the perils of recording under the influence of alkyhol

Ok.

I love this.

This is the kind of music I aspire to make.

I've gotta be completely honest and say , Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
it's sacrilege doing this to a Beatles song , say ten Hail Mary's immediately , and go i week without alcohol
