This started as something funky and degenerated into I-don't-know land pretty quickly. I was going to make something to hand over to John, but when I got stuck, I just started fiddling with various musical doo-dads. I had a dilly of a time playing over the 5/4 drum beat (during the solo), so I had a few beers and just went for it. It's a bonus in a D.A.W. that you can literally see what's next in the audio file. I was able to land on my feet at the switch back into the 4/4 drums (but with sweat on brow).

Do you have a cut switch on your guitar or did you add that effect in the daw?

Thank you. No one has turned my head inside out for a long time. The real out-of-phase stutter guitar and out-of-phase drum outro were both sublime. I could hear 'em but couldn't place 'em. I even looked behind the TV for a stray Blooby. I got a Guinness for you, but you weren't there...

I completely enjoyed the listen. It wasn't until I hit replay that I realized there were no vocals. And it doesn't need them. I counted that middle/lead section and it's a super cool syncopated beat. I never did completely wrap my head around it. Trying to count it in 5/4 made my head spin, 4/4 worked briefly... I even tried 6 and 8 time.... whatever it is, I liked it.
