first chance ive had to do anything in what seems an age to me. had a spare hour and came up with this. if i get time i might try and do a fuller version of this with more instruments etc. but this is all i got for now.

i can't find
any words
i'm still searching for
the melody
all my time
taken up
working hard to pay
for yesterday
so i'll just sing hallelujah
it's the only song i know
yeah i'm singing hallelujah
gonna help me make it through
i'm still looking
i still care
picking up the pieces
everywhere
finding meaning
'tween the lines
finding solace in
the tears we cry
so we'll just sing hallelujah
it's the only song we know
yeah we're singing hallelujah
gonna help us make it through

I like the melody and the lyric. Really I like the guitar/vox treatment, too. Sounds good to me.

Lovely Jim, sounded like it was going to be an Xmas song but it didn't turn out to be. Inspired work as always, definitely worthy of more development when you have the time. But then again, perhaps not. It works well stripped down and bare like this.

Cool tune brother, really dig the lyrics & your use of falsetto in the chorus. In fact it's really a super fine vocal brother!
