I haven't posted a song in quite a while.  But thanks to all of you I've had lots to listen to here on Songcrafters.

This Green Day single is from the 2005 album American Idiot.  You might have seen the video which is in line with the anti-Irag War theme of the album.  Billie Joe Armstrong's song tho is about the death of his father, 20 years ago.

As usual, I apologize for the pitchy vocals.  I really like this song tho.

Great to hear more music from you again, Rolow! I don't know the original, but your cover is excellent.

I like the transition from acoustic to electric, and those drums kicking in - sounds like a played kit? Your vocals sound fine to me - got a bit of a fragile quality that I think really adds to the subject matter.

Yep.  Drums were my first and still favorite instrument.  Thanks for the comment.

True, true.  I'm a child of 59.

I like the palette and texture of sounds in the mix here.  A nice sounding reverb on the vocal.  Is that from the BR or Audacity?

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Really a great cover. I'm not familiar with the original either, but I like this !!

Crystal clear production and though I never pan vocals and drums off center I really like it in your mix here. Kinda like an early Beatles recording.

Great job Rolow!

I ended up doing the mixing and mastering on the BR600.  I'm still learning how to use reverb (called Gverb) in Audacity, with its many settings.  Thanks for asking.
