I've recently started trying writing some music beyond 4/4 and 3/4, and you just stunned me.  My feeling is that if you can play in an odd time signature, and still make people want to shake their ass, you've accomplished something mightily. Apologies to all those who know me who just had  a mental image of me shaking my posterior.
