I'll Miss You

T.C. Elliott

This one was quick. I recorded a song I wrote this weekend very quickly and as I sit here this song almost wrote itself down. I like it, too. Trying to get 30 minutes of decent quality recorded music done in November and with this one I have around 23 minutes including two lesser ones. Thanks for listening.

The letter came
One lonely Friday
And they told me
You were gone

So I sold
All my possessions
And I set out
On the road

Town after town
Out on the highway
Ain't no place
I call my home

There's nowhere now
That calls to me
Except the place
They dug your grave

'Cuz I miss you more right now
Than ever before
And I'll miss you. Yes, I'll miss you
Forevermore

I've traveled down
Those hills and valleys
I've traveled on
Some lonesome roads

All these miles
They do nothing
To ease the sorrow
To ease the pain

'Cause I miss you more right now
Than ever before
And I'll miss you. Yes, I'll miss you
Forevermore

The lyric is perfect to the melody! Melanchol and beautiful. The solo(s) sounds great! Fine job!

Hi, Liked yr song (I'll miss you) - reminds me of Darkness Darkness (Youngbloods, RobertPlant).
Classics are all deceptively simple.

Very beautyfull song.
Love it.
You kept it simple. Great slide guitar solo

Reminds me the Bob Dylan debut album, when he covered old folk songs... Your song sounds like a classic folk song!
