Yesterday I ran it through a Big muff pi, and it sounded awesome!

Whoa! Someone just read my mind! :D
I was gonna post about the SK-1 too! :D

Davo's right! The sk-1 should be THE portable keyboard for your mobile fun :D

Sample and go!
Just in case, check out this old commercial (pretty funny)

I don't trust your judgment Mr Head or is it Mr Rotten.  You could make bagpipes sound good.

Radio shack put out the exact same thing under "Realistic" name, called the Concertmate 500. We have one that we gave to our kids about 20+ years ago. It still works but doesn't sound any better than it did back then. Lol
He used it to attempt drive our other son and us mad with burping and farting samples.

Ok I've been playing with it and some of the MBR FX sound surprisingly cool. The standard line FX aren't much but the guitar ones have lots of good stuff.
I'm no keyboarder but I had fun. I had to turn input way down on both units or it goes over easily.

here  is an example of it , i sampled guitar intro to this song, put the loop effect on and played sample an octave higher ad nauseum to good effect i think. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7101476 check it out. we even got tom robinson at bbc6music to play it on his show.

that is, once again,  very very good.
I stand by my comment though.  You are talented enough to make music out of a sow's ear (just to mix a metaphor).  Do a colab with that other talented freak Kody, tour the world, and give me some comp tickets. Please.

Hey all,

I am dying to buy a Kaossilator!  I've been YouTubing them like crazy!

Speacking of "portable keyboards" I have a couple songs I've been meaning to upload where I just used the onboard drums of the BR and nothing but a CASIO SK 1.  The SK-1 sounds really awesome using some of the guitar effects.

I'll try to upload very soon.

Please do - I'd like to hear that. I love the Kaossilator but a small keyboard is on my list as well.

Cheers,

Oldrotten I dig your sound. Very indie.  Shades of Sonic Youth there.
I seem to be in a SY phase this spring myself.
