Hilary,  you have a great voice and I love a song with a bit of humour/whimsy.  You could build this into something. I hope you keep working on it. 

BTW, I'm reading a book by David Byrne at the moment called "How music works" - its a good book - and he says that he is often surprised by people who think all of his songs are autobiographical.   Of course they are not and why would they be?  We can write in the first person and not be writing autobiographically.   I'm currently writing a "jilted lover" song in the first person that is from the perspective of the whole of Australia.  Hopefully, no-one will think that I've just broken up with my "man"
