Hello all

you may have noticed my friend Jean Sébastien (AKA "steelguitar") and I often play together, most of the time thanks to the internet.

We decided to give a name to our collaboration, and the band is called :

The MAUSS


The Mauss stands for "the Musical Association of Unknown SuperStars"

there is a pun in that name, for social science nerds only



Anyway, here is our first post as a band, and it is a cover of a song you maybe heard before here:

It is a song called "sur un trapeze" written by Gaétan Roussel and played by Alain Bashung, on his amazing album "bleu Pétrole".


But this time I'm singing in English, and it took me ages, and lots of good advices to get that translation completed.

So here are the lyrics, and this time you wont tell you love the music and the vibes and seelguitar's incredible licks, but you don't understand a word :

Daniel sent to me his files in .wav. I mixed these tracks with Sonar : i tried to work with my ears, so I used the headphones to hear all the nuances and all the spectrum of frequences. I boosted the basses of the acoustic guitar (bass) line when I cutted the basses of the acoustic rythm guitar
