Inspired by Gary Clark (from Danny Wilson). heard him on bbc radio scotland for children in need, his first live performance in 17 years. was an absolutely stunning performance, and when he sang "mary's prayer" i was bubbling like a wean.

for the first time
in a long time
you made the hair on my neck
stand
right up on end
sing for the good times
and through the bad times
so many memories
that come to my mind
sing for the new times
and through the blue times
so many possibilities for us
I tried to sing
along with you
just like the way
I used to do
but the words
just wouldn't come
I was moved
to silence
