I must have been on the Palinka - too much time to waste on a saturday afternoon ;D

I guess this is a cover, I don't think that Brahms would be too happy  -  ;D ;D ;D

NB I think I tried to play this on Hook's fiddle when I was around his house in the summer  ;D ;D ;D

As played by a proper player (Maxim Vengerov is considered the best there is) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGV2qj9PMB0 .... if only ....

A bit pitchy but my jaw is absolutely on the ground. That was killer. Was wondering where it was going after the opening keyboards, but that and the drums worked really well.

Didn't know this was Brahms. I associate him with ballady stuff. My classical music education, which I garnered from Looney Toons has apparently failed me.

Awesome.

Hey Blooby - thanks for the comment. Yeah I agree, its a little pitchy - however haven't picked up the fiddle since I was at Hook's house in FL, and then 6 months probably before then. To get this spot on, I'd have to practise for a week, 10 hours a day :) - I used to be able to play this no problem when I was 18, now its at the limits of what I can play - shame really, and I really aught to play the fiddle more. I really enjoyed doing this though :)

I didn't mean it as some sort of overt criticism, more of an aural observation (that sounded really dirty). I am agog over anybody that can make music on a violin. When I get up yo speed on my DAW, would you consider a solo on one of my tunes? I hear Jerry Goodman/Allen Sloan-type distorted violin in my head.

bruno

Nah - Mrs B said the same :) I'm a little frustrated at myself for not playing/practicing to keep myself up to scratch. Oh well, I was never very good at the practice thing.
And yes, any time you want a but of violin, ping me a message - always happy to oblige :)

Pretty cool. I've often thought of covering a classical tune myself but they're so damn hard. I don't know if I could manage it.

Man I wish I could play the violin !! For only playing a couple of times in half a year it sure sounds good. You really should play it more, cause you sure are a talented musician and mastering the violin must be the greatest satisfaction there is for a musician.

Love it !

You rock so very much my friend! This is fantastic & I think Brahms would be quite thrilled, that beat is very cool. I remember you playing this on that cheap student model violin I have & I remember being pretty amazed then.
Rock On!
