Hmm, odd one. Have to let this one sit to see if I can get a sense of this direction. Its a very dark little number!
If you listen hard, you can hear an acoustic guitar in the middle of all that!
B

Hook's added lyrics and vocals, and some additional 'sounds'

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=19871.0

*** Added technical details

Beta Monkey Drum loops (Mike_s below - these are a real drummer loops - so to speak)
Midi keyboard -> Shruthi (Mono synth) -> Boss SL20 (slicer and stereo out), Slicer Midi timed sync'd with the BR1600 (and so the Beta Monkey loops)
plus some sounds from the Korg microstation and acoustic guitar

wires everywhere and played rather than programmed!!!

*** Trialing a new method - will respond in the header message only, I find constant self-bumping an unfair practice, but its nice to acknowledge a comment - although on this site and as 64G says, it is not necessary. This method doesn't knock anyone else down, so fairer in my opinion  :) ****

11/11 - All, thanks for the comments and listens as always.

, thanks for the comments and listens as always.ere you are coming from, needs some variation, working on it :)
Hook, thanks Bro - this defo needs some added 'spice' to keep the interest going, this is definitely on the darker side - am excited where this ends up  :)
Andy - yip, I started this not really sure where it was heading - kinda feels like horror movie music to me - let see where this ends up :)

13/11 - TC and Roscoe , thanks for the comments and listens
TC - LOL, I'm going to add "I ain't afraid of no ghost" - hard to be menacing :)
Roscoe - The slicer is actual a Boss guitar pedal, am misusing with a mono-synth :) Sometimes plug in the guitar is the simplest way - this was a real mess of wires :)

16/11
Stuart/Kenny - Thanks for the comments, as always I appreciate the time to listen and to comment
ORH - :) what is it with Monkey's on this site LOL - I do like my drum loops though :)

Drums are very cool - i like when they are highlighted here and there. Don't know if they are real or programmed, but either way, i'd say a couple of fills on the toms would be good (sparingly though), maybe even a few bars of just the drums with very simple backing, again with a few interesting fills and then back to the song. Sounds good though.

Great tune Mr B, off the beaten track for you but very cool nonetheless!

I definitely hear the horror movie aspect, but there is a levity to it... almost a ghost busters/comedy type of feeling I get from it (not the music, but that kind of creepy/not creepy strangeness.)  I like the darkness in there, but I still sense quite a bit of light to it as well. But I dig dark.  You know it's almost impossible to sit still listening to this. At first I was all "this is cool" but the more I listened the more my butt started moving... and it's not just gas this time.

Hi Bruno, enjoyed this a lot even if I don't know how it was created, (I'm a guitarist, one cable in, one cable out. lol). Drums sound great, I'm gonna have to work on that after Christmas. Top notch.  Roscoe

Cool track!

The new test method doesn't work for me, though...

Two reasons:
- there were all these responses to wade through that didn't make any sense cos I hadn't read the thread yet
- if you posted a response to me up there, I'd never see it, because I never go back and re-read a thread I've already seen, life's too short

:)

(Just off to bump my recent one up now! :D)
