Bowie space oddity 8 tracks

i'm a big bowie fan and was searching on youtube and found this interesting video of space oddity with the tracks separated on a virtual mixing desk - seems to be recorded on 8 tracks - i find t quite interesting to see how things were done in the 60s and 70s

To think what we have now in our living rooms that can match some of those studios in the 60s....70s
