in  the hot sun, as she witnessed her man die

the accuser stood with his head held high as he told all his lie
the judge sentenced her man  
the bible for-told
an eye for an eye
her man would hang from the rope till he died  

she looked her love  straight in the eye
as they dragged him from his cell
begging and pleading not to die
his eyes screamed an innocence why
knowing faces surrounding him
didn't care who lied


the sound of the verdict rolled around in her mind as she stood there shaking in the bright blue sky

That is a beauty.  What a production.  I was riding the song right up to the guitar solo and I wanted it to be really good and it was!

I noticed that you edited the lyrics as you sang them.  I do that too.  I think you made the right choices.
