Assuming that Lou Reed has won the Nov/Dec artist fest  ::) ??? ;D

I was going to do this regardless, as a tribute to Mr Reed.

From my favourite album 'Transformer'. Not the most obvious track to do, but a fun one. It's a bit faster and a bit beefier than the original.

This is just my voice, my Hofner verythin, and a bass. Drums & production / mixing courtesy of the MBR.

For you, Lou  :)

Holy moley this is great. So sad he`s gone now. Your vox and harmonies are amazing and that bassline is so
forefront yet not if you know what i mean. Love the fade out. Excellent work on this classic.

Hot damn, this is good!

Getting a bit of Spiders-era Bowie feel from it as well as the Greeny touch - and we know Ziggy was a big fan.

Fantastic! A great Lou Reed song with a definite Greeny sound.

I'm not making the Lou Reed Fest jukebox available until the poll closes. It looks pretty certain that Lou Reed will win but you never know. I'll add this fab recording tomorrow when the poll closes (assuming Lou Reed wins).

Funny you should mention Ziggy Stardust. Back in the early 1970s, I belonged to a record club and I ordered Ziggy Stardust and Transformer at the same time. Both were new releases and I wasn't familiar with either artist at the time so it was a bit of a gamble. But when they arrived, I listened to both albums endlessly for weeks and just loved them both. To this day, I can't think of one of those albums without thinking of the other. They are a set in my mind.

Bowie and Ronson produced and played on Transformer, so the Ziggy influence is enormous :-)

Definitely got the spirit of Lou Reed in here. The vocal does have a little of the Lou Reed feel in there... and that guitar sound is spot on... very nice... cleanish, but with just that little bit of bite too. Good stuff enjoyed that.
