Hi guys!

I've just finished a new piece, this is inspired by J.D.Salinger's short story. I'm somehow unsure of the result, could you please tell me your opinions, like, nothing pops out or falls apart or is just weird?

I use a chinese traditional flute Di here, and vocal parts are done by my friend Stasya.

Wow! This is epic! I'm on my second listening. I found so many nuances on this; at least folky (on some spots I got Cranberries feel) and prog rock vibes. Excellent playing and arrangement skills! That Chinese flute sounds amazing! Nice to hear you're back!

Excellent song! I love your friends voice, and definitely get the crtanberries reference, but the delivery is all your own, such a rich tapestry! Great mix, sounds fab in my cans, reallly wonderful.Bravo

This is stunning. Love the heady brew of instrumentation and how the arrangement rises and falls in intensity. It's really unique. I get the Cranberries reference on the vocals, but there was a Jeff Buckley feel on the heavier parts too. Incredibly accomplished stuff.

Wonderful stuff, I really enjoyed this a lot. I like the way it changes and the different sections you have, especially where the voice first comes in. Really imaginative songwriting and a fabulous end result.

My only suggestion is bring the flute up a bit in some of the the quieter parts, eg 59 secs, 1:58 secs and 3:08.  But very well done indeed!

Cheers,

You are very right indeed, just beefed up flute in those places and it sounds much better! Updated the track, thanks for the tip!

I love the dynamics in this song. So much going on you can't absorb it all in one listen.
