This is lovely. I agree that the drums need to come up a bit but with that done and a good solid bass this could be a great track..........with lyrics and vocals even better again. A good song waiting to be a great song I think.

Discovered a little late...

Very nice background but needs something upfront in the form of a melody.  Could be a vocal/lyric line, but doesn't necessarily have to be.  Just something doing a lead line up front.  Bass needs to be much louder, even if it's, as you say, boring.  It still would benefit from more bottom.
