Hello my friends, i´m reading about how to record and mix with virtual tracks but i´m sure that i´m doing something wrong ´cos doesn´t work. Maybe the problem is that my english is not good enougth to understand how to mix v-tracks properly.
So if you know an easy way to do it, please tel me how to do it ´cos i know that with this little machine we have 2 or more ways to make the same thing... that´s because i know how to make (more or less) good drums recording.

It's hard to say how basic to go with this.
First you would record on any of the 4 virtual tracks. Let's say V1
Then if these are all good tracks, you would set the levels and the left right (Pan).
Then you would BOUNCE to 2 other tracks (It will suggest 2 but you can choose any 2 unused tracks)
Then you would select those 2 and any 2 others you wanted to include, and MASTER them.
If you understand this so far, we can go deeper into more detail.

But if i record lead guitar in track 1 (v-track 1), bass in track 2 (v-track 1) when i bounce, where goes the mix of those tracks?

Thanks.

In the bounce mode, if you hit the right cursor twice (and eventually a third time) you will be able to select the destination tracks.  You want either 12V- or 34V- selected.

Good luck,

If I read the original post correctly, you only have 2 tracks. There's no need to bounce anything; or I cant see why you would take 2 tracks and then bounce to the same 2 tracks. You can pan your guitar in track 1 how you like and pan your bass (wouldnt suggest it for most situations.) Then just go straight into Matering mode and get busy with that process.

Once you get to the point where you have 3 or more tracks, just keep in mind that you first select the tracks to bounce, and then assign the tracks to bounce to.

No, i made reference only to 2 tracks as an example, by now i have no problem recording and mastering in 4 tracks but i need to use more tracks and i don´t know how to use v-tracks, because when i try to record in v-tracks i don´t hear what i´ve recorded before, so i don´t know if i´m recording properly, i also tried to record in a v-track and i rewrite over one track that i had recorded before... ???

You need to specify which virtual track you are recording to, otherwise you overwrite the current virtual track.  Press the track you wish to use.  Use the cursor right button to move to the screen that says VTrack and has a bunch of squares (Filled in squares are used v-tracks and empty squares are available v-tracks).  Set the cursor under the track you wish to use by pressing the appropriate track button (TR1-TR4).  Next, use the value buttons to select an empty square.  Press exit and you are ready to go.

Good luck!

The Micro BR can only play four tracks at a time. So, to add more tracks, you need to first create a 2-track mix. You do this using bounce mode (see pages 50 and 51 in the Micro BR manual, 3rd edition). Then you can listen to those two tracks (containing a mix of the first four tracks) while you record two more tracks. Then you can mix those four tracks (the mix of the first four plus the two new tracks) and bounce them to another empty pair of v-tracks. Now the mix contains six tracks and you can add two more, etc.
