Microphone Question

Will the 'powered mic' input on this be strong enough for 2 condenser mics?

I have the Sony mic that everyone else here uses, but for better quality I am wanting to use better mics....ideally 2 condenser mics, brought into the Micro BR with an adapter (basically a Y adapter to fit into one input).....

Will this work or will I need to get a small board for phantom power?

Connecting 2 condenser mics will work much better if you have a mixer (w/ 48V Phantom power since the MicroBR doesnt offer that.) The Micro only puts out enough juice for a electret condensers like that Sony that needs around 4-10v.

I've used my PA mixer for this. Hook up all the mics you want, then take your choice of "out" from the mixer to the LIN/EXT input of the MicroBR.

Thanks guys..that is what I was thinking.

I am wanting to record live concerts...so I might just pick up one of those small Behringers with Phantom power or something.

Thanks for the help!!

Are you planning on recording concerts (like arena size venues with pro-artists) where you are just in the crowd... or recording smaller club venues of local bands where you might have access to a feed from the house board? Perhaps even your own band or a friends band?

Without access to the house board, you may be better off with a stereo mic (it's easier, less gear to carry around, and it's, um... a bit more discreet)
