From the crow's nest I could see
the fields spread out below me
like a picnic blanket for the sun
with gentle rays to warm the blood

you runneth over
you runneth over in me

rolling over
in the clover so green

your heart flies like a pennant
as I nail you to the mast
let me be your future
and release you from your past

and let me love you
my landlocked nautical queen

From the crow's nest I could see
the lights of the town below me
like a sequinned bedspread for your dreams
my naughty nautical queen

you runneth over
you runneth over in me

rolling over
in the clover so green

your heart flies like a pennant
as I nail you to the mast
let me be your future
and release you from your past

and let me love you
my landlocked nautical queen

That's pure quality, Tim, as usual.  I love the sounds you're using.

Wow, this is an exceptional one among your usual high quality body of work. Great opening and really nice use of instruments. Really good lyrics, some fantastic imagery there (although it sounds a bit rude in places  :-[). Fine bass work as always and the whistle sound is just great, adds a really nice melody especially in the quiet parts. Fantastic stuff, a real joy to listen to.

Yes I agree. My innocent,sheltered, puritanical, oh so fragile composition can't take such brilliantly dirty seafaring pictures floating around my easily influenced mind. :-\ :'( :-*

Excellent songwriting here brother & super sweet production. I'm listening on cheap computer speakers  & it sounds 100% pro. I'm not a fan of the br drums normally but you've done a real good job with them on this one. All good man, all good!

Brilliant !

I love how all the melodic instruments intertwine and make a sonic carpet for the vocals without ever getting in the way.

Just brilliant!

Great song here. Wonderful combination of instruments and great lyrics and vocals. The bass work is exceptional and really lifts the song . Really enjoyed this.
