Hi all, been a bit quiet for the last couple of weeks, the old prolapsed discs in the back don't like this cold wet
weather, added to that some fairly major work in my sons flat has left me disinclined to do much with a guitar. Anyway 2 sessions of acupuncture and I can play the blues, just. Roscoe

p.s this is what I meant to sing!!!

Woke up this morning on a railroad track
I had nothing but the clothes on my back
Torn in two by a cutting wind
Hole in my head from last nights gin

Taking stones out from my shoes
I knew I had these walking blues
Where to next I've no idea
And where I've been aint exactly clear

I was caught out in a lie
I was caught out in a lie

She said that perfume just aint mine
You smell of her one more time
What makes you cheat on me
If I aint good enough set me free

I said listen hon, now here's the truth
I bought it for my cousin Ruth
She's in town for just one day
But she said Ruth had moved away

I was caught out in a lie
I was caught out in a lie

Good and emotional song Roscoe and you sing it with conviction...cause your subject was "caught out in a lie". You had me singing along in harmony on the chorus lines. Nice soloing also!

Brilliant! Your voice reminds Tom Petty a bit, imo. Everything is in balance on this well written tune! Fantastic guitar solos, too!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Yeah. Dripping with passion, fatigue, and beautiful tones.
I can imagine this being a story told by a guy travelling in a box-car.
Only wish these laptop speakers would do this/these uploads some justice.
Well done Roscoe.  8)

a nice laid back song. very enjoyable. congrats Cheers Neil

Getting a bit of Eagles / Hotel California on the chords and left-panned riffs. But overall it's a great, grizzled story with an absolute killer of a chorus. Great delivery on the vocals - really hits the right spot. Your singing reminds me a bit of Harry Chapin on W.O.L.D. Sweet solo too! Fine stuff.

Jarle

Nice song, love your voice in this. The guitar solos sounds fantastic.
