I came up with the chord progression to this one. I first payed 6/4, but when Geir and I rehersed he began paying 3/4 and we went with that. James found the melody somewhere while Geir and I fumbled around. This is how it all ended. I have enjoyed this weekend together with some incredible musicians and people. Hope to do it again sometime.

Lost to the Sound
Lost to the sound
Of the chords
As they're played
Drifting on clouds
Catch the sun
Hear the waves
As they break on the shore
Bringing us more
Fresh inspiration
No pause for thought
We just play what we got
A meeting of minds
All good friends
Come to play
And sing from the heart
Through the day
Till night ends
From the first of the sun
Till the last of the stars
Till the last drink is done
And there's not any words
Left to sing

Guys, this could almost be the new anthem for Songcrafters. I listened to what you produced in Norway, often with envy in my heart, there was some good, some not quite as good and some brilliant which I believe this number belongs to. At the end of the day my own personal thoughts cannot detract from from the wonderful feeling of being in the same room with people you respect as fellow musicians and equals. Invite me next year please. Roscoe

What a great song, words and melody! It's easy to hear the camaraderie in this song of friends...it's very clear when the last chorus kicks in. Well done guys!

Wowee.  Norway 12 points.  Reminds me of something that Lennon should have written if he was still with us.  I kid you not.

Beautiful song. The vocals are excellent and recorded really well. Must be Mike's RØDE mic and perhaps the acoustic qualities of the cabin. The guitars sound great too. The overall recording quality on this one is excellent.

I noticed that the cabin was a great place to record, it sounds very natural even with the number of mics we had dotted around the place.

This was Geir's mic, although still a Rode NT1-a, mine was in a suitcase on it's way back to England.
