Hi everyone.....haven't posted anything new is some time but I thought I might toss this one out for a listen.  It's a song about being in a relationship where there are differing expectations.....and resulting uncertainties.  I wrote it and play acoustic, sing lead, and got acoustic lead and harmony backing from a good friend of mine.  Still working on the final mix so any suggestions would be welcome.  Thanks.

Lyrics:

Spin Me 'Round
  C 2013
You don't give in to temptation,
The way that I do.
You don't sense my frustration,
It doesn't matter to you

Chorus:

You spin me 'round and 'round, and' round, 'round and 'round

Just spin me 'round and 'round, and 'round, 'round and 'round

I'm spinning 'round and 'round and 'round........over you

I step outside of my body,
When I step into yours.
Surf the waves of your passion,
One hand scraping the wall.

Repeat chorus:

Bridge:
Keep me.....holding on,                                            D                      C
Stuck in this web while the spider is gone,
Holding on......
So hot to the touch yet chilled to the bone

(Repeat Bridge)

Repeat Chorus

Coda:     'Round and 'round and 'round
               'Round and 'round and 'round

"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

Really love the chorus part that has that lush 70's west coast sound (especially reminiscent of the band America). The arrangement is excellent, and I think it works beautifully stripped down to it's acoustic roots like this. Really good song, and some fine playing / vocals.

Great song, particulary love the lyrics on the second verse, erotic without being sleazy. Top notch.............Roscoe

Very nicely put together. Nice tones. Esp. the R.Guit and solos.
It's hard to criticize. If anything, I would try a touch of reverb to blend the Lead vox in a bit but not enough to push it back. (Side chain?)

Lovely song and great harmonies that complement the lead vox really well. The guitars are really well recorded, they sound great. My only tweak to the mix to consider would be to bring the guitars up a little relative to the vox, especially where the lead comes in. The mid guitar section sounded a little quiet compared to when the vox come back in. But overall it sounds pretty good to me!

Cheers,
