Written on an acoustic then laid out with piano and drums in Garageband before re-adding the acoustic guitar (Tanglewood), bass (Precision) and vocals. I then whacked an extra woozy mellotron hook on the chorus  :D

Kept it to under 3 minutes too.

Lyrics...

'alright, geezer' to another day
the summer solstice druids are standing in the rain
so stay inside and let your imagination fly
over the rooftops to the castles made of light

and seek what lies beneath
the grey waves of the world
like spanish gold

and seek what lies beneath
the grey waves of the world
like spanish gold

don't settle for the ordinary
find a love as golden as the sun

all the deck chairs are folded up
on windswept promenades with the bus shelters of drunks
so stay inside with me
and sleep perchance to dream
in shakespeare seas of green

and seek what lies beneath
the grey waves of the world
like spanish gold

and seek what lies beneath
the grey waves of the world
like spanish gold

don't settle for the ordinary
find a love as golden as the sun

OMG! Is it Monday?

It's already been a long week.

Fantastic and Beatley - evocative mellotron.
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Brilliant!

Love the lyrics and you really have a great talent of finding just the right melody, catchy and not predictable.

Yes it is kinda beatley isn't it.

Love it

Greeny music on its best!! Repeating "Spanish gold" sounds so sweet! You've put all instruments nicely together! Nice start for a week, though it is Tuesday, now...

Nice to hear that bass playing is as lyrical as ever. I didn't get much Beatles (ok the piano at the start is a bit Beatle-y) but I got a lot of Greeny. Great song and love the hooky chorus. The mellotron is cool (I have one of them now, so watch out....).

Great work Tim, glad to hear you are still creating wonderful music.
