Climbing to the Moon - Eels Cover - Autosuggestion

I suggested that Henwrench cover an Eels song for the Suggestfest - Rags to Rags, which I'd still love to hear.  But after making the suggestion I listened again to my extensive Eels collection (I was nuts about them about 10-15 years ago).  Decided to cover Baby Genius, then changed my mind and decided on the track that follows it on the Electro-Shock Blues lp, Climbing to the Moon.

I think the climbing to the moon line is a reference to going insane, becoming a lunatic.  I like songs about mental illness.  They chime with me somewhere...

Haven't heard the original, either. Like always, I admire how great job you do with cover songs! Really fine job on each way! Love it!

Thanks Geir and Kari.

It's all GarageBand apart from the acoustic guitar and vocal parts, recorded onto Zoom then and cleaned up in Goldwave.  There's a bit which bugs me every time I hear it though, when the drums come in and the guitar comes in a fraction earlier.  I'll have to sort that out.

I'm not familiar with the original either, but this is wonderful. The strings are beautiful.
