Recording 2 tracks simultaneously-how?

Hello everyone-great forum for a great product.  My question is how can I record my acoustic electric guitar and my small self powered condenser or SM58 mic TOGETHER on the BR Micro?  The only two tracks I can record simultaneously seem to be my acoustic electric and the on board mic.  Thanks everyone!

Hey Eman, welcome friend!

You are out of luck, that is not possible. The only combination possible is GIT(via dedicated input)+MIC(built in mic). You could use the Line IN, split the tracks, left and right, and then use left for the guitar and right for the microphone. You would have to use a Preamp or a Mixer though. With a mixer you would basically connect the microphone on track 1, pan it extreme left. Connect the guitar on track 2, pan it extreme right. And then using the Output of the mixer you would connect to Micro BR Line In.

That is the only way.

Do you have to record live? You could do it multitrack.

Multitrack is your friend.  :D

Would this create two different tracks?  Or would it just create one track?  I want to record rehearsals with the band on one track and me, the bass, on another.  So that, in a case of material I've never played before, I can cut my part and come up with other things for the next rehearsal.

Also, I just wanted to add that this is a really cool site.  The internet has not failed me yet on help for ANYthing.  This site just goes on to be a testament to that.....

thanks God for the interweb...

Thanks,
Ron
