Hi!

I saw that cuth has suggested this Ramones tune to me! I took my guitar and soon I was playing this...not on Ramones style, but maybe on bossanova style  . I'm not sure, did cuth expect something like this...?

I recorded the rhythm guitar and lead vocals simultaneously. The drum track is done on Yamaha keys by finger drumming. All done on MBR and the final mix on Audacity.

I wasn't expecting a bossa nova treatment, but I did expect it would be terrific and you didn't disappoint!

I love the laid-back pacing, your vocals, and the interplay between the guitar and drumming is just perfect. I'm a bossa nova fan at least as far back since first hearing João & Astrud Gilberto many moons ago, and this is right in the pocket!

It just goes to show that a song - any song - is just a bunch of words put to a melody over a bunch of chords.  Everything else - tempo, style, orchestration, key, instrumentation, is totally up for grabs.  Even the words, melody and chords aren't sacrosanct.
