Well I thought it would be fun to mix the old with the new and this is what came out - live record, 1 take (although I've been practising the rap all week), internal mics.

Heartbreak Hotel - errr Elvis
Rehab - Amy Winehouse
Gold Digger - Kanye West

In my mind I was going to sing Shake Rattle & Roll but when I came to sing it Rehab came out.

Nice one Haylie - a one take wonder!  Do you memorise the lyrics or read them?  I have to print them off whenever I do a song!

I memorised them Pete  :o    Like I said, it took me all week - I even dreamed about the rap last night - in the dream I mashed it up with an old song and it was going great :) - when I woke up, I couldn't remember the song so I gave it a go with these two.

I learnt the whole rap/song for Gold Digger but have only used a couple of sections here - phew! I've got a vague notion that I might perform it at some point and that it might be funny - haven't quite worked out the logistics of it yet but this is a start. This one's not meant to be funny though!

Very cool Haylie !!

Great performance and I must say I'm mighty impressed by the recording !!! I think this is the best live recording I've ever heard with the internal mics on the BR80 !!!

Oh I'm well chuffed - I struggled with the recording all week - the guitar was overpowering the vox and I REALLY didn't want to double up on the vox - in the end I ditched the pick and used my fingers (much softer) - no time to record at the moment, so I snuck upstairs and propped up the BR on some pillows.
