This is pretty interesting. American composer & conductor Eric Whitacre has created a huge virtual choir by getting people from all over the world to submit YouTube videos of themselves singing this song. All of the videos were then mixed and rendered to create this video which premiered at Buckingham Palace on July 11, 2013. Pretty cool song too. I love the growly bass synth. And the choir is awesome.

I did consider taking part in one of them, but decided against it at the time. A Brit, Peter Nugent, has also tried something similar (on a smaller scale), here's one of the clips. I was lucky enough to sing in a National Barbershop Chorus with Peter as our MD for a couple of years. I know he had real issues with copyright trying to do this and very little support (again I had the opportunity to do it and didn't!)
