Quote from: Rata-tat-tat on July 20, 2013, 03:52:26 PMOk this has made me throw one in for suggest fest.... I would like to hear Mazz and Bruno do Sheryl Crow "Every Day is A Winding Road".... For some reason Mazz's voice sounds like a perfect fit for anything Sheryl Crow...

I also have a good story to tell about Sheryl Crow... My father and I used to service pay telephones in Missouri when I was a youngster. One day we met a young lady at a truck stop... It was Sheryl Crow before her fame... She was headed to LA where she told us she was going to try to become a famous singer/ songwriter... A few years later after she released "Tuesday Night Music Club" with the hit "All I Wanna To Do"... We realized it was her... If only we had took some pictures or got an autograph. It was a brief conversation, but it was a good one that I'll never forget. She was so energetic and full of good hope... We wished her well and went about our business... I dig her music big time and think about that moment in time quite often. My brush with celebrity.

Good idea Tod - I'm a massive Sheryl Crow fan apart from her recent ventures into Soul, didn't like that.

my heart bleeds for you Bruno - I have to practise my songs with the windows shut for fear of offending the neighbours :D

Thanks all for the comments.

Tod - would love to do that track, however teenage daughters are 'difficult' ho-hum. Try as I may, Mazz won't do anything that she doens't want to do. I did try  :(

For you who don't know, Eddi Reader is the scottish singer in the band Fairground Attraction who did that horrible song 'Perfect' in the 80's. Anyway - I hated that song, and liked it in equal quantities. I took little notice until I watched a doc about her story, and how she got well and truely shafted by the whole band thing. She went solo, really just to make ends meet - and she has done some quite fantastic acoustic numbers. I was kinda hooked, so bought some of her albums. She's one's that you go back to (at least for me) - so well worth the entry price in my opinion. She is a most beautiful singer - check this one out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMmtBgMaF5I
