Hadn't heard the original either, but I remember the band. Got the grand Hook style to it - sounds like it could be one of your own. Love how that phased uke lead snakes in and out.

So searched this one - Nick and Kenny's excellent Decon Blue's post got me thinking about this era of music, and I remembered that I suggested that Hook do this song - and what a great interpretation of this song this is! Put a huge smile on my face :-) Thanks bro.

I saw Del Amitri at Middlesbrough Town Hall around the time this was released. They were a great band & it's easy to forget that the early 90s had more going on than just Nirvana & Pearl Jam... This is a superbly original take on an old favourite of mine. Thanks for the memories, I'll have to go & dig out some of their albums now.
