"Smile That Way" a Hook original

I recorded the crazy delayed uke part a few weeks ago and then started on the drums. The high hat, crash & ride cymbal were done with garage band drums, not the smart drums but the the set graphic you hit with your fingers. I didn't however like the bass & snare so I used the drumjam set on the pad setting which is awesome. I've never had a tune with bass drum rolls before. My kid (Pan) wrote the lyrics in about 5 min. while listening to a very early mix in the car. Bass is real and the trumpet is TJ of course. Pan had intended it to be just the first verse sung much faster, I ended up breaking it up but am posting it as she wrote it so you'll have to jump around a bit.

Cool song. And nice to collaborate with the mini-Hook. We should have a FamilyFest sometime. It's always great to hear people collaborating with their kids, spouses, siblings, etc.

Wow I love that delayed Uke! Family fest would be great. I taught my son three chords on the guitar G,C, and D when he was 15 and he went from there.
