Heya everyone.

My buddy "Chrome" gave me another disc with 15 new drum/synth club tracks (all originals of his) to work with. I popped it in the computer and it randomly pulled up track #7.... I liked it, and considered it an omen that that one should be the one I worked with next.... and so begins the story of our collab #2.

I liked this immediately, and after jamming to what he had for a few minutes this just began to flow. Please remember this is metal/club music hybrid... and is somewhat repetitive, but still is catchy and addictive ;). Seeing how easily this is flowing, and how much I like  our last one (still have to sort out some small bits of the solo on that one though), I am REALLY into the music we are making.

This is not complete, I have only a single guitar added to his mix. I'll likely be adding some other interest, and harmonies... not too much to overkill it, but some.

Hope you guys are into it too. As always please feel free to give input, or feelings.

Not always a fan of club/synth stuff, but this is catchy to me. I listened to all of this one through a couple times. I expect you'll get a lot of feedback on this.  :)

Def think you'll be able to do some cool stuff with it. You pretty much described it; catchy and addictive. I'll be following this one for sure. Can't wait for the rest! Good luck.

Dragon... Cool very cool. I could definatley hear this being played in a club somewhere. Just curious ...your buddy did the synth tracks??? Or where these loops that were put together???. Either way I thought the production was great ...very BIG sound. Only comment I might have ...and it's a minor one. I thought the drum track was kind of "tinny" sounding. Of course I'm a drummer and a little biased to a more tonal percussion sound. Over all I give 2 thumbs up... Can't wait to hear the final cut.

Boss.... Awesome you like it, I like to hear that it had some of the same effect for you. I have never been a big fan of club music, but this guy has talent, and once the heavy guitars are in it changes it for me, and I get really into it. I can see people dancing to this (and the other one we did)... they may have a little headbanging thrown in though  :P

Tod... Thanks to you too. Yes, Justin (Chrome) does everything on his keyboard. It has the press sensitive pads for the drums, and there are some loops and such in it, but he does not "sample" from other people. All his stuff is all his. Yes... I notice on some of his tracks you can kinda hear the "cheapness" of his set-up. He really wants a Roland $3500.00 new board, but that'll come. We can always re-record once we've got a few solid.  ;) He gives me the disc, and the track goes in the MBR for me to play with.

Surprised I never commmented on this, I loved all of Ray's work with his buddy Chrome, it was quite an inspiration to me. Sadly Ray (Dragonshade) isn't on the site anymore. I know they were trying to get some of their work produced, I wonder how that went.

Cheers,

Nigel

LOL... as you know.. we are BACK!!!

Tho.. you don't yet know.. I met a guy with a studio, and who does producing this past Sunday! Loves many of our tracks, and has asked for them redone formatted to suit vocals (tho he is wanting rap)

Ferryman_1957

And that's a good thing! I don't have a lot of time on the site at present but will be looking out for more material from you........

Cheers,
