Here is a cover that my buddy and I recorded a couple of weeks ago. 2 guitar tracks and one vocal track... I was basically trying to get a good vocal sound using one track verses 2 like I have done in the past... Everything was done on the BR for this one. He used a Yamaha Acoustic/ Electric lined straight into the BR using 1/4" input. Vocals were done with the onboard mic... Minus my crappy singing... I think it turned out OK. Please feel free to give me some pointers especially on the VOX... I'm still trying to get away from layering vocal tracks.

I like this.  What a great tune.

You are selling your voice way too short.

I find the chorus and delay on the guitar a bit distracting, though.

Peace.

LG & Blooby... thanks for the comments. Man... I don't know what to say other than this took quite a few takes. I have done this one live before... but I can only attempt it if my voice is feeling strong. I'm getting much better at vocals compared to when I first started about 2 years ago with the latest bar band project I joined . We are a 3 piece... me (Drums & Vocals)... Dave "Bass & Vox"... Rob "Guitar". It is by far the funnest band I've ever been in. We are able to pull off a sound that is more like a 5 piece due to our Vocals and "Guitarist". I try to lay in as much harmony as possible. I find myself... having to kind of slide into notes rather than just belting them out. I'm sure it will get better with time. I try not to be an "EGO" player... So I hope I don't come off as one... just try to modest and enjoy what I'm doing.

Blooby... yes I agree. I need to clean up the lead... Just curious... does anyone know of a way to edit the volume on the lead track so that it comes in where it is supposed to. I had my buddy Rich playing the lead and he was basically noodling at that point. It could be done over, but I don't know when we can get together again. In the mean time I would just like to clean the lead guitar up "as is".  I could do this in Audacity or any editting program... I'm just trying to get more accomplished with the BR. Should I just record over those parts that aren't needed/wanted??? I'm afraid it will not blend well...Any suggestions???

If interested you can check out some live recordings we did with the BR...

This must have gotten buried in all the posts or something. I am surprised this doesn't have more replies.

This was badass dude. You actually sing very well. And after hearing another track you did on here, "The Light" I believe, I've determined that you sing how I WISH I could sing ;)

Pretty damn cool ;)

I'm glad I found this one! It's really good stuff, and man, you should be more confident of your vocal ability! You sing this really well. I love the chord change where you soften your vocal. Great work, and this works well as a guitar and vocal only, even though you could take it into a big, full-scale production if you chose.

Cool acoustic cover!!  I like the singing and acoustic blues-rock playing!!

Cool intro licks and some neat chord progressions later on!!

Great rock voice!!

Hey guys... thanks for all of the great comments... I'm still going to clean this one up again and repost... Just got back to Alaska from my dad's burial. Got some cool stuff in rattling around in my head...  spent a little time on an original last night. Hopefully I'll get it polished enought to post by the weekend. We'll see.

Sorry to hear that - you have my condolences. Hope you're ok. Music is the healer, and it sounds like you're on the right track. Take care.
