chris got a new 12 string, and asked if I wanted to do anything with this song. chris is doing 2 - 12 string tracks and I am doing the rest. always like doing a psyche-rock song.

Well P777 you certainly choose some memory-jerking songs to cover - :D
This is another one that I have on 7" vinyl in the attic - on the blue Pye label I think(?)
I'm only listening on laptop speakers but even these give a swaying/phasing swing to proceedings - it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun putting this together. All that I'm short of here is low-lights and joss-sticks -well done you two. 8)

A tech question if I may - what are those small cymbals called that I can hear - poss China cymbals??

thanks
SteveB, I expected this song to fade off into obvlivion!
no I have china cymbals but I do not like them, they sound like a garbage can lid. I am not exactly sure which ones you mean but I am assuming it is either mt 10 in. or my 13 in solar cymbals! I like to have at minimal, when I can afford it, at least a dozen cymbals, unless I were to get a bigger kit!

P777 - Solar cymbal, eh?
A new one on me and had to Dr Google the term - now I see what you mean.
Hmm, very tasty. Well done Frank and Chris (I think that's right?).  8)

Super cool, I've always love this song. Great job guys! Frank those drums are huge & I'm using cans which I don't often use and the panning is out of sight, it's like i'm inside your set! Oh & that bass!!!!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

That's a huge sound you've captured. Love all the drum-runs and the psyched-up panned 'swirl' going on. This is definitely my kind of scene. Very nice.

bruno

Early Quo song - really nicely done. Great deep drum sound, recorded them really well - and super bass sound.

hook, glad you noticed. I mic my drums so that the listener can imagine he is behind them playing! :)
