A little late to the party on this one.
This movie has been out for quite awhile but I just got around to watching it a couple weeks ago.
I actually watched it 3 times (plus all the outtakes and director's comments).

I wore their "Metal on Metal" cassette out back in the day and my first band did "Stop Me" (still a fav tune of mine).

Anyways - I seriously reccomend you check it out (even if you don't like 80's metal - shame on you!)

AndyR

Yeah, I was recommended it years ago but never got round to it (Anvil didn't really do it for me...)

Then I saw it on BBC4 a few months back. Well worth a watch. It was kind of sad and uplifting at the same time.

Rata-tat-tat

This is one of my fav band documentaries... Yah I felt the same as AndyR. I used to listen to these guys quite a bit also... It really is hard to believe they made pennies for all the great music they shelled out back in the day!!! Not to mention all the big shows they used to play. Hopefully this movie made them a little more respected. Maybe Lips and Reiner can someday retire... It would be nice to see the metal community do something special for them. I believe Pantera/ Metalica/ Megadeth and many more would agree they are worthy of some recognition.
