I've got to say ,I'm the same as chunk,it comes out what's in my head and from the fingers,Im self taught from the old school ways of stick a record on and play along,I'm not very up in my musical theory,but hey we are all different in our aproach,   Cool tune Greg .

Thanks guys. I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old, self taught as welll, as a bonus to taking up drums (for 10 years :)brother didn't want to play guitar. He liked computers and is an Astro Physicist now with the government lol ) I just picked up a bass at a gig one day and sat in . I got stuck in the pentonic box and I could mix that up some but I'm kinda "licked" challenged because I can't play very fast. I'm a big RUSH fan, I like Satch and VAI and a lot of the old guys like Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, Phil Keaggy. So I kinda was feeling stale and I thought learn some theory and try the modes. But I've always said when you can make a listener feel that mood - get the same feeling I'm having when I play, then I have truly made music. And yes Kenny are a great breed who approaches it all different yet we all speak the same language in our love and passion for music

Well your "stubby little fingers" sound good on this. 
the song has a nice flow to it and the licks sound good to me.
I am not good at scales or theory either, I usually play around until something
sounds good to my ear.

Rock it brother! I'm also an ear kinda guy, I learned some theory back in high school when I was playing saxophone but my fingers couldn't find what my ears heard. I'm the same on guitar but put a iphone in my hands(thumbjam), & I go modal! This is some really top shelf playing brother!
