So I've been brave and finally got around to posting a vid on Youtube. It was part of the Les Mis launch campaign, Sing Your Day and here's my entry about my life - It was Monday.

It was Monday – Haylie Fox 13.5.13

I went to Tescos today and bought a chicken
And then I cooked it
And then we ate it

Then I washed up and made a chicken and bacon pie
But no-one ate it
Not even my husband and I

Some people might say my life's so very ordinary
Some people might say it's quite boring you see
But I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world
Coz I've got a good man and he loves me

I went to Boots today to buy some facecream
Age bracket 45-60, whoopee
When I get a bit older, I'm going to stock up on that facecream
So I don't ever have to get to 60

Some people might say my life's so very ordinary
Some people might say it's quite boring you see
But I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world
Coz I've got a good man and he loves me

My husband had the day off from work and used my body all morning
As ballast for the bottom of the ladder
Then we went to Morrison's café for a latte and read the papers
It was Monday

Some people might say my life's so very ordinary
Some people might say it's quite boring you see
But I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world
Coz I've got a good man and he loves me

Oh I'm so very very lucky
I'm like the cat that's got the cream for her tea
Coz I've got a good man and he loves me, yes he loves me
And we'll be side by side
For eternity

Great performance Haylie. Boring and ordinary is good in my opinion when it comes to life. Predictability is good when it's good.
When it comes to music excitement and surprise is good. This song is fun and entertaining. Your spoken comments are great.  Love it.

oh that's very funny Tod - my husband (Mr Romance) famously said to me and I quote "if you're going to make that noise could you shut the door!" when I wrote this song :)

Thanks for watching boys xx

Nice job Haylie!!

Didn't you say your Hubby was a Leeds fan? Maybe you should write a song to the tune of Marching on Together, or would that not be a good idea?

I think it would be interesting and I'm a Leeds fan!

Great work Haylie

your husband should think himself lucky.

My wife would relate to being used as ballast for the ladder.  I wrote a song for her a couple of years ago called "you give me no sympathy".  Its in my jukebox if you are interested.

regards,

Ian
