Cheers mr 64   I played the drum pads live direct into the studio,I had one main programmed drum part all the way through and I double tracked the drums manually to give it more of a human feel.
I sometimes double track the drums using 2 different kit sounds to fill them out.
The drum rolls I put one .....panned left and the other panned right to give it a surround type of drum roll sound.
