I'm back again for another listen.  The words in this song are just joy from start to finish.  It's a song that gives strength to all those like I was at the time - a bit shy and timid.

Huge Smiths fan here, and this is f*cking awesome! Lovely jangle on the acoustic, and the vocal is superb.

I'm a bit odd because I prefer 'Meat is Murder' to 'The Queen is Dead', but I still love 'Hatful of Hollow' above both of them. I know it's not a proper album as such, but it's a wonderful collection of songs and session performances. And I liked it's special low price when it came out.

It seemed apt to play this as a couple of days ago I went through the cemetery gates with Suzi my little Yorkie,
Just at the back of the church, I fell down a flight of steps cracking 2 ribs and a huge lump and bruise on my hip.
