new forum?

I'm stunned at how this "post your work" forum has taken off.
It seems a full time job just trying to keep up.
It would be nice to sub divide this section perhaps?
Original work?
Cover tunes?
by genre? (rock, folk, country, acoustic?)
Unfinished?
experimental?

I know what you mean - it's getting pretty busy on here. Just a weekend away really took some catching up on when I got back online 

I like the idea of splitting originals and covers out, but think that genre splits might just be too fragmented to keep tabs on (also, there are a few people on here that you simply can't put into a recognisable genre, lol).

It will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks...

i think they would need to be boards on there own right. the collaboration board which is a sub board of post your work is not a great place to post as stuff can get lost in there.

I agree the reason this board is so popular it is the one that we all seem to gravitate to.... I think the whole forum needs to be simpler so we don't miss stuff
My suggestions for headings for the forum would be
General ( anything related to music)
Technical help( all recorders )
Tips and hints (including music and recorders)
Post your work (BR inc collaberations )
Post your work (other recorders inc collaberations)
Other Stuff (any non related subjects)
Keep it simple

Yes I also agree to put some more subtopics, but not to many, or everything will get very separated. I like the idea of separating covers and originals, both for PYW and collaborations. Maybe on the collaborations section we could also separate "instruments colab" and "vocals colab". Just an idea... And if we want to go further, maybe even create a topic for finished collaborations, but maybe that´s too much already.

Not me. I don't want to be involved in anything competitive. IMO the point of this forum is to encourage and share and I have never found any forum to have such a generally positive attitude. I did not come on here to compete with anyone, nor do I want to judge anyone, apart from giving advice and feedback when it is asked for. 

I don't know aout you lot, but I have to deal with politics and competition all day in my work life and I come here to relax, have fun and be inspired. In my short time here I have been so impressed by what I have found. IMO I think anything like this risks endangering the great atmosphere of this forum.
