Okay here is another test on the new BR-800 - an acoustic guitar and vocal cover of the grateful dead's 'Deal' with a blank verse in the middle if someone would like to venture a guitar, harmonica, leslie organ or French Horn solo  ;D

All this 'test' covers I'm putting up are really to test several things for me:
1) sound quality
2) ability to capture both vocals and guitar with a click track/metronome running in the headphones
3) ability to capture a song in a single take
4) how well the BR-800 allows reverb, EQ and panning manipulation in the recording process

So far I've been happy with the results. I hope to be able to practice through the summer and have some more polished stuff recorded in the fall, maybe even get some nice collaborations going too.

Enjoyed the heck out of this.  I got on the bus late, but I have really been enjoying the Dead the last several years.

I was going to have a go at a solo (over next weekend anyway), but it is in wma format.  Is there an easy way to convert it, or could you post an MP3?

I'm glad you enjoyed this one.  It's fun to play when my acoustic isn't fighting with me.  It should be easy to convert to MP3 with a free WMA to MP3 converter.  Check google.  I hope to do another higher quality version in the future with acoustic, electric and bass.  practice song leads on this and we can do a collab - what do you think?
