This is a quick collab I did w Pinedog a month or so ago.  I did the instro then asked Pine to add something.  He added some really sweet dobro, did the final mix, and gave the song a title.  Good man!

The Goodall is in dropped D.  'Verse' is D to A, but w minor scale fills - lots of Fs n Cs.  'Chorus' switches to Am to D to contrast the A maj in the verse.  Bridge starts w one of those lovely drop D Gsus4 chords [G + a C note].  It's a trip [and a bit tricky] to drop into the straight arpeggio for the 2nd section of the bridge after the syncopated arpeggio in the 1st section.

Got a bit of distortion when I recorded the Goodall but decided to leave it.  I think it adds to the 'rustic' flavor of the song.  Pine said the instro reminded him of the waves, wind, and vibrant wildlife of the Chesapeake Bay area.  And its long history from pre-Colonial times to the present.  I lived close to the Chesapeake for 20 yrs and he's right.  Enjoy!  DD

Thanks for listening!

Superb collab DD and Pine! Loved mood you've captured on this! The dialog with two guitars sounds just great! Well done, both of you!
