ciao friends, I'm very proud of presenting you this one, cause it's a collaboration with fellow songcrafter stoman. Of course there's also Mike LeBlanc from Louisiana who wrote lyrics, but this time we stayed in old Europe 2/3 LOL. So: I am singing, and Steffen Offerman (stoman) did all the keyboard work (he stay humble, but I say he's a master!), mixing, arrangement and other instruments. here's to you - poor old heart

My Poor Ol Heart

I've been knocked out, by hillbilly brew
Had my brain explode, from the cocaine blues
But nothin's ever made me feel, half as bad as you do
When ya take my poor ol heart, and break it in two

I've been railroaded, for a time or two
Been cut in the alley, for the loaded dice I threw
But there aint a pain, that won't heal back like brand new
When ya give back my poor ol heart, that I gave to you

My poor ol heart, has seen it all
Smiled in the sunshine, cried in the dark
And i'm beggin' you to catch it as it falls
Please dontcha miss, my poor ol heart

I don't want it back, keep it baby please
Maybe someday, you will be in need
I don't want it back, it won't do me no good
It seems my poor ol' heart,is misunderstood

I agree with you; Steffen is a fantastic keyboard player and producer! I presume this is the first collab from you and Steffen...? I look forward to hear more!

Hey Maxit and Steffen... I am so glad you guys teamed up. I've been a fan of both your works and this is simply awesome.... Maxit... this has been bugging me for a while... I've been trying to figure out who your vocals remind me of for quite some time.... This tune just solved the mystery for me... If your not a fan (I apologize).... your vox remind me of James Taylor (with an accent LOL)... I've always loved his work since I can remember. Of course the song would not be a song without the marvelous backdrop that Steffen created... WAY TO GO FELLAS!!!

It's all cosy and Christmassy.  Which is nice, in April.

I guess.

Really well crafted song, great keyboards and production all round, and a good vocal track to boot.  Lovely.

This is a real sweet collab.  Fantastic piano n mix.  I hear JT too in your tone and delivery on this song.  Really smooth and suits the lyrics well.  Definitely a collab to be proud of!  DD

Thanks for listening!
