Reg is down again trying to forget........so he got the acoustic down.....
Ive burned down
i've burned down the night
set alight to my life
trying to put it all right
i Burned everything black now
burned everything down to the ash
don't want to remember
what it was i had
then the pain to forget shouldn't be so bad
i've been burning down the night since last September
i've burned the thoughts from my mind
i don't know
i couldn't say
i hardly remember, my own name
i've been burning down the night since last September
since the early rains of winter
i burned it all down to ash
now i got nothing left to remember
now i got nothing left to remember
time
time
time
time
i've burned down the night
I burned away all the memories from my mind
and now i'm just doing lonely, just doing lonely time
but dark in the night
the flames come to eat my mind
slowly sending me crazy
as they burn inside
so i burned down the night
sent it all down to ash
now all i got to do now is wait for the dawn to break
so i can see what i got left
so i can see where i'm at
if i've burned those memories bad
burned the memories from my mind
stop me feeling so sad
burned the memories from my mind
burned the memories from my mind

Reg,

Wow!

I picked this out at random from past songs.

I think this is really good.  Your voice  and the guitar sound are fantastically matched and capture the mood perfectly.

The words seem to be written as a stream of consciousness.  It doesn't have the normal "conventional" song structure verse, chorus, verse, etc.  I think that's fine but you could probably improve the song with a bit of editing now that some time has passed.

Really well done.

regards,

Ian

Glad I caught this one (eventually). Love the power of the vocal and how it forms a moody brew with the guitar. Nice use of echo and the harmonica is fab too. Excellent!

Hi Trev, I can't help thinking that you're a bit like me and strap on a persona with different songs and collabs that you you do. My favourites are when you're being you. This is a favourite........Willie
