Way back in the 60's, we all wore tight pants
We had such a great time, and we all danced
Everyone was cool, and everything was fab
But the kids still had to get the smallpox jab

Way back in the 60's, we'd protest and shout
And go to San Francisco and then go and just drop out
Nobody with any sense had to give a damn
But there was still the draft for Vietnam

The 60's were unbeatable, they were unsurpassed
But why did things all fall and come apart?
Everything we knew was going to change
Looking back it seems it's all the same

Gods for all to see, who split in 1970

The cool dudes told us nothing, there was nothing out of reach
Why did they not practice what they preached?

So many clicks, and nobody leaves a comment.

I like this song, it reminds me a little bit of the Lovin' Spoonful. Nice walking bass, and the melody is catchy. What it misses IMO, if anything, is some nice harmony vocals.

Very cool song, its like a long lost hit from back in the day.

To my ears it very much has a Kinks vibe to it, and vocally it is very Ray Davies like.

The structure is simple but it is full of great melodies and hooks.
