Wrote this tune last week just getting to finish it today. I took advantage of a rainy day and recorded a rain track on my dashboard last week. i had to manipulate it a bit, I could have gotten rid of the car driving by in the first chorus but something about the timing really works for me.
1 live uke/vocal (stereo)
1 rain(stereo)
1 harmony vocal/whistle (mono)

Forward To Change)
written & performed by Hook
The rain starts to fall this time of year
I've been expecting it, it's finally here
& if you ask me
the grounds been a little bit dry & thirsty
I notice my environment
& lately I've been feeling a little spent
No motivation
In need of a little liquidation

I sure do want a change
Maybe in direction or perhaps just the page
Can't go backwards, we know back there is pain
             Moving forward to change
             Moving forward to change

The rain fall hard & it keeps on coming
Inspiring so I keep on strumming
& singing a melody
With all the random thoughts that come to me
There's a pattern here, it's always blue
Thinking 'bout you
Happy makes me when I'm blue
I just need some time to sort it out for you
          Chorus

The rain starts to fall this time of year
I've been expecting it, it's finally here
& if you ask me
the grounds been a little bit dry & thirsty
so take a big drink my friend
use every drop to its best end
& we will see
Maybe tomorrow you'll be green

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

As it rained here today and a storm is brewing tonight here.,it`s a fitting song for me.
What can i say to you i never have. The vocals and harmonies are stunning. You have quite a style here.
The whistling is perfect for the moment of the song.

What i love about your songs are they aren`t predictable at all.  You`ve outdone yourself on this brother.
I love it!!!

Snowing here, and wishing it would rain instead ::)

This is really good ! You sure have an ear for a good melody, and I may be oldfashioned, but that still is a big plus in my book :D

Excellent work Hook !

I'm still a fan !
